Rick was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 19, 1967. His family moved to East Lansing, Michigan in 1976 and Rick started bowling youth league at Holiday Lanes in 1978. He bowled the Saturday morning league until he was in high school. Rick graduated from East Lansing High School in 1986 and bowled in a couple of adult leagues until he joined the United States Army in 1988. He was stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina and deployed to the Persian Gulf in 1990 and served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged in 1992. Rick moved back to Lansing and got back into bowling.
Rick has been married to his amazing wife and best friend Rena for 25 years. They have 2 children Victoria and Chandler.
Some of Rick’s greatest bowling memories are shooting his first 300 while bowling with his father. He also had the privilege of bowling nationals in Syracuse with his son and bowling doubles on Father’s Day with Chandler and it was his son’s first national tournament.
I have been lucky enough to bowl with some of the best bowlers in the area and I would like to thank everyone. It’s been my pleasure to bowl with and against all of you.
